Episode 61 - Around the World in an MG Midget - Roy Locock
On this week's podcast we speak to the current interim-General Manager of the MG Car Club Roy Locock. Roy drove his MG Midget on an epic around the world adventure covering 39,000 miles. He then took Bridget the Midget to Australia and faced flooding in the Northern Territories and an engine rebuild part way through his journey! This is a story that proves the MG Midget is a lot more hardy than many give it credit for and shows just what you can do with your mighty MG with a bit of inspiration! Episode 60: The revival of Ridgard seats
Bob Ridgard was one of motor racing's innovators. A driver himself, racing MGs and even a Chevrolet Camaro, he moved to the UK from South Africa in the late - 60s and began developing seats for club racers. His seats went on to be used by the likes of Stirling Moss and works teams like the BMC / BL operation in Abingdon. They were inextricably linked to the development of driver safety in motorsport through the decades. Bob sadly passed away, but now his business is in new hands and joining us at the Triumph and MG Weekend. We meet the new lady at the helm, Sam Browne - a pretty handy racing driver in her own right.
Episode 59: Fixing Hydragas suspensions on the MGF
This week look into a technical subject that will not only be of great interest to MGF owners, but also offers a fascinating insight into the story behind the Hydrolastic and Hydragas suspension systems developed by BL throughout the 1970s. We talk to Ian, from Hydragas and Hydrolastic Service Ltd about how he invented a way to repair these suspension systems to ensure the cars equipped with this now historic technology can be repaired and kept on the road. In this podcast he talks us through how the repair process is carried out, offers some tips on what to look for for MGF owners and also gives us his feedback on his new MG!
Episode 58: Julia Dorsett from BeautifulClassics.UK shares her MG Magnette story
Julia Dorsett joins Wayne Scott on this week's MG Car Club Podcast to share her fascinating story of being inspired by her Father's passion for cars to pursue a career in model making. That career saw her work on many TV productions and familiar adverts for big brands before starting her new venture providing her MG Magnette to events, weddings and other special occasions. Julia is a massive MG fan having owned an MG Metro and MGF before her stunning two - tone Magnette came into her life.
Julia is now a welcome ambassador for the classic car world encouraging other young women to enter the community and take their first steps into classic car ownership.
Episode 57: MGB YouTuber Steve Denton
Steve Denton is one of th growing community of classic car content creators on YouTube. Now, new generations of classic car fans are sharing their passion via YouTube channels, posting regular video content that takes their followers through classic car ownership experiences - the good and the challenging!
Steve has created a following of YouTube fans who eagerly tune in to follow his various mechanical projects on his MGB which he guides the audience through with a view to sharing some essential hits and tips along the way. Some of those projects have included fitting a Sebring body kit and a new, twin - pipe exhaust to his MGB. In this podcast we discuss the classic car world and end out more about Steve, his MGB, his love for classics and what motivates him to share his cars with the world of YouTube.

Episode 56: Car Detailing masterclass with Rich March
Rich March is one of the UK's leading experts and master trainers on the subject and skill of car detailing. He founded UK Detailing back in 2004 and now runs training courses for both the trade and enthusiasts alike. He also undertakes client work from his workshop in the idyllic Cotswolds including many MGs and also produces the detailing trade magazine ProDetailer.
